Gudeg.net - Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta (UAJY) in collaboration with the Sleman District Health Office, held a COVID-19 mass vaccination on 23-24 July 2021 at the Thomas Aquinas Building UAJY.
The target participants for this mass vaccination are family members or close relatives of all UAJY employees, with a total of around 1000 participants. This mass vaccination was held for two days, in an effort to minimize crowds.
Yonathan Dri Handarkho, a member of UAJY's Covid-19 Recovery Handling team, said that this activity was UAJY's effort to support the vision and mission of the Sleman District Health Office and the government, namely accelerating Covid-19 vaccination in the community.
"After the mass vaccination has been carried out in stages for lecturers, employees, and outsourced staff, it doesn't seem meaningful if the families of employees, who of course meet more often, don't get vaccines immediately," said Yonathan in a written statement received by Gudegnet, Sunday (25/25/2020). 7).
Yonathan added that in the future, UAJY will hold Phase II vaccinations for outsourced workers and employees' families.
Currently, the campus is still waiting for a scheme from the government regarding the implementation of mass vaccination for students.
According to one of the participants, Iwan, the health protocol for the implementation of mass vaccination has been well implemented from beginning to end.
“When waiting in line, it doesn't have to take too long. Further information on vaccines will also be informed via SMS," he said.
